Accounting Clerk Washington United Terminals is a Stevedoring & Terminal Operations facility in Tacoma Wa. We have an immediate opening due to an employee retirement. WUT started in 1999 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hyundai Merchant Marine. The job we have is to process the weekly PMA payroll and support other Accounting staff. We are looking for someone with prior payroll processing experience and industry knowledge & terminology would be helpful. Job Description: Payroll processing and reconciling Verify Time sheet codes Review PMA Payroll output Process Payroll Journal Entries Backup to Accounts Payable - coding, input & reconciliation Preparation of statistical reports (daily, weekly & monthly) Research outstanding problems and determine action steps necessary to resolve Backup for accounts receivable and billing Requirements: Strong Analytical Skills Excellent communication skills Detail oriented Strong reconciliation background, ability to problem solve Proficient with excel and spreadsheets Follow standard accounting practices in daily duties Experience: Prefer at least 5 years of payroll processing & accounting experience.
