Rainbow Light is looking for a highly successful outside sales professional for a Territory Sales & Education Manager position in the Natural/Health Food Channel. Report to Channel Sales Director, West. Territory Sales & Education Manager will call on existing retail health food accounts and open new accounts in the North West area. Some overnight travel is required. You will build sales momentum as well as educate Sales Representatives and Clientele by thoroughly understanding and utilizing  Company’s sales, marketing and educational programs.  You will be responsible for achieving set sales goals by utilizing your professional sales, merchandising, and education skills.  Put your critical thinking skills to work and partner with your accounts to achieve immediate success.

     Key Accountabilities:

    • Actively sell into Key Customer Headquarters and Independents selling new items and promotions
    • Key relationship manager assigned for Large Region Chain and Hybrid corporate accounts
    • Place turnover orders and direct orders, as appropriate to account
    • Sell monthly promotions and benefits to accounts
    • Educate staff through aisle training and group meetings and conduct demos to drive product adoption
    • Conduct gap fill audits to maximize product placement at stores; execute ‘free fills’ for WF stores that start selling new SKU’s.
    • Adjust activities in territories with Merchandiser/Service Rep assistant
    • Identify and act upon leads and drive conversion of leads into revenue
    • Support overall territory sales and organizational development as may be required from time to time
    • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned

     

     

    Minimum Qualifications & Skills Required:

    • A minimum of five years outside sales and staff development management experience; experience in Natural Food channel required
    • Five year base preferred due to business concentration
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Ability to identify key areas of opportunities for sales development
    • Big-picture and “return on investment" orientation
    • Confidence in presenting, education and small group training venues
    • Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to support and maintain an appropriate routing in designated geographic territory
    • Ability to Educate staff through aisle training, group meetings and conduct demos to drive product adoption
    • Proven ability to increase sales
    • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
    • Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
