This position is located within the Lifting and Handling Department, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton, Washington. As a Division Nuclear Manager, you will provide third level supervision and manage the planning, execution and quality control for nuclear and radiological work in one or more shops within the Lifting and Handling Department.

As a Division Nuclear Manager, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Representing the Division Head at meetings and nuclear critiques involving the divisions work and related work practices.
- Coordinating and providing authoritative responses to audits, surveillances, incident and deficiency reports, Shipyard Commander (CO) agenda items, and other internal and external reviews.
- Developing various division policy and process guidance documents for nuclear work and other critical division work.
- Developing plans to provide manning, facilities, material and equipment to support nuclear refueling/defueling work.
- Providing evaluation and oversight of nuclear training to ensure changes, processes, and improvements are incorporated.

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing the planning, execution and quality control of nuclear and radiological work. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of qualifying experience may include the following duties: coordinating and providing authoritative responses to audits, surveillances, incident and deficiency reports; coordinating the implementation of process and performance improvements; or developing plans to provide manning, facilities, material and equipment support to scheduled and unscheduled refueling work.

REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. The work is primarily in an office environment and requires some walking, stooping, bending, and carrying of light objects; however, on some occasions the position involves on-site inspection and evaluation in areas where climbing high ladders and standing on narrow catwalks high above ground is required.
Incumbent may be assigned to work in areas where certain potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present. These agents may include, but are not limited to: fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing, and non-ionizing radiation, chemicals, etc.
