Description of Role:
Join an exciting new team, building enterprise-wide services. Our client is searching for a Project /Product Manager, Enterprise Service Bus to join their team, and be responsible for the intake, prioritization, project management, and overall business performance of the enterprise service bus tool.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills, along with the ability to work well with multiple stakeholders in both a technical and business environment. Key responsibilities include managing and developing project plans, development of product roadmap, scoping, prioritization, and producing business requirements for all services in a fast-paced, iterative development process.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the Enterprise Service Bus 12-24 month roadmap, a subset of the larger Enterprise Product Roadmap
- Serve as project manager of execution of initiatives and collaborate with lead architect to define solutions for customers
- Work collaboratively across the organization, with stakeholders from multiple teams, to deliver on the roadmap using sound project management practices
- Develop deep understanding of the -end customer- which includes internal corporate users across the enterprise
- Identify and track key success metrics and utilize those metrics to communicate successes and to make informed decisions
- Understand the business landscape and technical landscape of the Enterprise Service bus
- Develop project plans, scope documents, budgets requests, and risks & issues logs - Serve as an integral part of the master product delivery process, working to ensure the most critical business problems are prioritized and solved
- Prioritize requests, and make trade-off decisions / recommendations based on critical business needs and technical feasibility
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product and/or project management, managing service-oriented products (ESB or API preferred)
- Have a bias for action and a passion for delivering exceptional products
- Possess well-developed business judgment which permits the creation of meaningful insight from potentially disparate findings - The ability to think creatively about solutions is a key success factor in the role
- Strong experience in translating business needs into requirements and driving teams to execute on plans on-time and within budget
- Ability to synthesize complex technical issues
- Excellent research, written, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to gain buy-in, remove silos, and mobilize teams to action
Education/Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline, MBA a plus
