BI SDET (Strong SQL with C# automation)

Job Description/ Responsibilities/ Day to Day Activities:

 

• Looking for someone with more technical (SQL specifically, but also C#), and test analysis skills – they need to be able to come in, assess the various SSRS reports, SQL dbs, email notification tools, etc., create a plan for what tests should be put in place to provide the best coverage and quality, write baseline tests and then train our offshore dev team to write more tests to fill out the suite.
• Writing feature test specification, test code development and automation in the areas of File Server and Clustering
• Designing new and leveraging existing test automation infrastructure
• Documenting functionality of test tools
• Finding and reporting bugs within owned areas
• Effectively communicate & report feature quality and state

Job Requirements

Required Skills:

 

• Strong test development skills with SQL Server® (2005 and 2008), including T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, SSRS, SQL jobs and SQL configuration administration, and strong C# skills.
• The job involves strong data analysis using SQL server and good understanding and development skills using C#/tools
• Passion for engineering quality and test development excellence.
• Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to clarify requirements and create clear documentation
