Summary: The ideal candidate is a highly motivated HR professional with strong communication, team work, and problem solving skills. They are customer focused in attitude and ability, with a willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment. This position has the primary responsibility of managing day-to-day HR operations in our Tacoma, Washington facility. The successful candidate has a proven track record managing the administration of human resources policies, procedures and programs, including: organizational development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, and employment.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:1. Maintain all phases of work related to team member records, government regulations, Cablecraft policies and procedures, benefits and payroll - maintain and submit government reporting in a timely manner (AAP, EEO1, Veterans report, OSHA, etc.)2. Prepare and maintain various Payroll and Personnel reports and accurately process shop and salaried payroll cycles3. Communicate and insure accuracy and eligibility for group medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K plans.4. Conduct and properly document disciplinary actions, as well as investigate and follow-up on personnel issues brought forward by team members. 5. Conduct team member orientations and exit interviews6. Conduct / track team member training and coaching. Assist the organization in determining the training needs and act as a resource in development and implementation of a training plan.7. Coordinate Performance Review process8. Coordinate team member activities such as luncheons, company picnics, etc.9. Manage all phases of the recruiting process10. Work with Washington Employers on L & I issues, as well as track leaves of absences such as L & I and FMLA11. Maintain record keeping for Safety related requirements as well as coordinating first-aid training, flu shots, and hearing testing as requiredQualifications / Training / Skill Requirements:Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent listening skillsStrong relationship building skills and the ability to work in a team based environmentAbility to develop and enhance Cablecrafts policies and proceduresSelf-directed, creative, problem solver Education / Experience Requirements:A bachelors degree and four years of Human Resources experience, OR A master degree in Human Resources Management and two (2) years of experience in the HR fieldPHR preferredComputer literate (PC, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, ADP or similar HR/payroll system)Physical Demands:Works at desk with a telephone and PC for majority of shiftWorks within a manufacturing environment, with occasional exposure to conditions expected within a manufacturing facility.Source - The News Tribune, Tacoma WA
