Maintenance Technician - Luxury Apartment Community at Seattle

Due to current business demands, Simpson Housing is currently seeking a MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN to augment the maintenance services team at NEPTUNE, a premiere 234 unit luxury apartment community located in SEATTLE.  This key position will be responsible for the following:

* Repair all HVAC equipment and appliances and reports problems to Service Supervisor or Community Manager

* Provides guidance to more junior technicians as appropriate

* Repairs and/or replaces windows, latches, screens, hinges, sliding glass doors, shelves, smoke alarms, baseboards, mirrors, closet doors, ceiling fans, mini blinds, faucets, sink plugs, washers, holes in the walls, and hangs drapes

* Performs exterior repairs to sinks and bathtubs, and minor repairs and replacement of bathroom tile

* Monitors and changes locks, and make keys as necessary

* Monitors and replaces lights as necessary

* May be required to be on-call

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

* 2+ years of related property maintenance experience
* General knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC

* HVAC certification a plus but not required

* Strong customer service orientation
