Qualifications:
- Education: Must have a current Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly Certificate. A Bachelors Degree or Masters degree preferred.
- For California Communities:
In communities licensed for sixteen (16) to forty-nine (49) residents, the Administrator shall have completed, with a passing grade, at least fifteen (15) college or continuing education semester or equivalent quarter units; and shall have at least one years experience providing residential care to the elderly; or equivalent education and experience as approved by the licensing agency.In communities licensed for fifty (50) or more, Administrator shall have at least two years of college; at least three years experience providing residential care to the elderly; or equivalent education and experience as approved by the licensing agency.
- Experience: Two years of general management in long-term care or related field. A successful track record indicating a working knowledge of regulations relating to managing an assisted living community.
- Supervisory Experience: One year of experience supervising others to include: setting performance expectations, coaching, motivating, promoting collaboration and teamwork, promoting company culture, managing change, providing performance feedback, delegating effectively, resolving conflicts, etc.
- Other: Must have valid drivers license, good driving record, and current auto insurance. Ability to read, write and speak English. Must be comfortable working in an environment with pets and assisting in the care of community pets, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, and birds. Willing to demonstrate passion and ability to work with people with Alzheimers disease and other dementia-related disease.
Summary of Major Functions: Provides direction to all community staff and has responsibility for all community operations through key personnel. Promotes effective team-building and communication with Associates and across Silverado Senior Living service lines.
