Volt has a Direct Hire position open with our client in Redmond, WA for an Accounting Manager. Will be responsible for managing the general accounting team and processes. The role is critical to the timely and accurate processing of transactions supporting the monthly financial statements and maintenance of the general ledger accounts.In this position, your Job Responsibilities would include:

• Manage the month-end close process
• Review and analyze reconciliations and journal entries to the general accounts
• Assist the Controller in creating and updating monthly management reports for the Executive Level Team.
• Manage the general ledger accounts and department ids
• Support and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and act as liaison between the company and auditors
• Develop, mentor and handle human resources matters in accordance with established policy and procedures.

Job Requirements

Accounting Manager Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of experience with demonstrated record of consistent advancement into complex leadership roles.
• At least 2 years experience in a publicly traded company.
• An undergraduate degree is required in accounting; Certified Public Accountant or equivalent (may be inactive status) preferred.
• Strong competency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint and must have experience with a large ERP system. PeopleSoft experience is a plus.
• Experience managing a team of professional accountants that have different levels of experience.
• Exposure to foreign taxation principles in such areas as value added taxes and transfer pricing is highly desired.
• Has the ability to work productively in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Solutions-oriented team player with can-do attitude.
• Excellent relationship building skills and effective interpersonal skills.
