Gearing up for Beta Launch!

Volts Client, a Large Redmond Software Manufacturer, is looking for experienced Game Developers who are excited about graphics, animation, and user interaction. As a Developer in this role, you will need to be flexible in what you are working on to support changing requests. You will be developing UI for a project working in C++ with Visual Studio and in C# with Expression Studio. Developers who are energetic, willing to take on new challenges, and not afraid to jump on new things as they are needed are the type of people this team works with best!

The team is gearing up to launch their Beta at the end of October. They need someone to help polish the user interface for Beta up to the official launch date. This person would be replacing someone who is going on 100 day break, working a 10AM - 7PM shift. M-F 10-5 are core hours so any 8 hours that fit around this timeframe will work.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Artists, Designers, and other Developers to design new game systems and subsystems.
• Complete significant development tasks on schedule and quality.
• Multitask between different parts of the project as necessary.
• Work well in a team environment.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements for this position:

• Shipped a game commercially.
• 1+ years of expertise in the following areas: Animation, AI, Rendering, Audio, UI, Optimization, Kinect, Cameras, Physics.
• 2+ years of user facing game features and proven software design, programming and debugging experience in C++.
• A passion for making games.
• Our Client would consider for this position, a recent college grad with gaming degree.

An exceptional candidate would also have experience with:

• Design and developing multi-threaded software systems that are optimized for real time environments.
• Design and develop user experiences that are fun and engaging.
• Cross-functional experience with areas such as camera, networking, and UI systems.

Software Design Engineer Top Qualifications:

• Development in C++.
• Experience in designing user interfaces.
• Ability to communicate and ask clarifying questions.
