.NET Lead Developer at Seattle

Job Description

 

Ciber, Inc. is currently seeking candidates for a .Net Tech Lead/Developer located in Seattle, WA.  Responsibilities are as follows:

 

Incident Support
  • Restoration of the application profile of services in response to an Incident or problem
  • Restarting failed scheduled processes and correcting issues as a result
  • Correcting data issues caused by users or processes
  • Responding to production support incidents of break/fix changes
  • Root cause analysis (RCA), or the method of problem solving that tries to identify the root causes of faults or problems that cause operating events of production system faults and defining interim alternative work flows.
  • Modify production data as-needed to resolve issues.
  • Modify Application configurations to resolve code defects.
  • Calls / tickets regarding security access requests. 

Application Operational Support and Maintenance

  • Support of operational activities such as software/hardware upgrades, OS patches, etc. that may have an impact or are environmentally related to the system that Ciber is supporting
  • Monitoring operations and job scheduling of environments.
  • Updating the requirements document and technical design document to detail the changes that will be made to the Application code and/or related database.
  • Coordination with Application Version updates
  • Coordination of performance management and database tuning
  • Backlog management and corrective, adaptive or perfective maintenance.
  • Design, coding and configuration of the in-scope Application maintenance changes, e.g. bug fixes, patches, and updates.
  • Testing of changes to be placed into the production environment, consisting of unit and regression testing.
  • Creating a user acceptance test plans is created for the requestor to test the changes
  • Data management activities in support of testing.
 Release Support
  • Support deployment and publish activities to move the enhancements made through the various SDLC cycles and to promote into production the enhancements as part of a Production Release.
  • Release and control of patches, fixes, tools upgrades and approved changes.
  • Participant in clientClient’s Change Advisory Board (CAB)
  • Follow the  Release Plan and agree to deployment schedule with application sponsors
  • Primary point of contact for environment related requests from test and development and support work streams
  • Follow the release management process for managing environment and code deployment requests using designated release processes.
  • Follow the approved environment acceptance process activities.
  • Collaborate with the client on future release schedules
  • Accountable for managing smooth transition of releases from various environments by liaising closely with clients and support groups
 Application Development and Change Support
  • Creates and modifies simple to moderately complex applications programs from detailed specifications
  • Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and maintains those programs
  • Designs simple to moderately complex programs or software components, following previously used patterns
  • Analyzes existing programs or formulates logic for new systems, devises logic procedures, prepares flowcharting, performs coding and tests/debugs programs
  • Develops conversion and system implementation plans. Knowledge of common patterns/designs for software
  • Capable of building and managing releases of software
  • Custom business solutions/technical consulting.
  • Estimation of development and enhancement projects pertaining to in-scope Applications. 
  • Create enhancements to existing Applications.
  • Create detailed design artifacts following designated templates.
  • Development of custom code for existing Applications and functions.
  • Create data extracts to fulfill change requests.
  • Assist in user acceptance testing of features in test environment
  • XML format/schema modifications.
  • Develop unit test plan and create test cases and execute unit test cases.
  • Develop integration test plan to integrate with various sub systems and external systems and execute the test cases for integration.
  • Unit and integration testing
  • Support functional QA cycles to resolve bugs and defects identified in the delivered Application artifacts.
 Team Leadership
  • Assess incident tickets, assigns to team members and self  for diagnosis and corrective action
  • Directs and reviews the work of less experienced programmers
  • Capable of maintaining a library of software via Configuration Management
  • Mentor and guide team members as needed in performing their daily duties
  • Provide administrative support to team members as needed for Ciber specific tools and processes
  • Act as first point of escalation for team members
  • Interview potential candidates for open positions as requested
  • Lead on-boarding activities for new team members
  • Provide for team member’s Performance Evaluations
  • Consolidate weekly team ISR’s (Individual Status reports)
  • Monitor Team Assigned projects, inform the PM of any extensions or scope changes
  • Ensure that all artifacts produced by Ciber on the project are located in either a Ciber or client repository subject to appropriate configuration management.
  • Promote recognition of employee accomplishments
  • Ensure engagement quality goals are satisfied by understanding the quality goals and processes applicable to the solution being delivered.
  • Work with team to perform cost/benefit analysis and determine impact of proposed changes.
  • Project overviews - maintain detail and summary of projects and status grouped by assigned resource (Available on ISR’s)
 Other requirements
  • Establish close relationship with designated client management peers.
  • Maintain the professional appearance and attitude expected of leadership
  • Identify and communicate potential opportunities surfacing with client.  Assist Sales with engaging with client early in the procurement cycle.
  • Meet regularly with management, project teams, and functional team leaders to review status, make recommendations, and resolve problems.
