As a Cloud Architect you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver on a broad use of Amazons utility computing web resources.Your broad responsibilities will include: Owning the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects developing a deep expertise in the AWS technologies being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.The candidate must possess customer facing skills that will allow them to represent our customer well within a solution providers environment and drive discussions with senior personnel within the company, as well as a technical background that enables them to easily interact and give guidance to software developers and architects. The ideal candidate should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.Preferred Qualifications:Due to phenomenal growth, our client is looking for Windows or Linux Cloud Architects to join their team and represent our client within solution providers environments, as well as directly to end customers.As Cloud Architect, you will work directly with customers to help deliver solutions using Amazons Web Services.To be considered for the role of Cloud Architect you will need: Highly technical experience with large server and application deployments and virtualization Understanding of application, sever, and network security.Additionally, our ideal candidate will possess: Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies. Industry certifications; ex: Microsoft Certified IT Professional.The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 10 plus years of implementation/consulting experience.Windows Architects should have experience designing solutions with technologies like: MSSQL, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, IIS 7 & 8, Exchange, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V,etc.Linux Architects- should have experience designing solutions with multiple distros (RHEL, CentOS, etc), Apache, MySQL, Tomcat, OpenVZ, VMware,ext.Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure, or experience building High-Availability or High Traffic infrastructure would be preferred.Technical degree preferred; Computer Science or Mathematics background highly desired.Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak with enterprise level customers.Experience working within the software development or Internet industries is highly desired Understanding of application, server, and network security.Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. Technical degree preferred; Computer Science or Math background highly desired.Working knowledge of software development practices and technologies highly desired.Industry certifications; ex: Microsoft Certified IT Professional.Up to 50% travel may be required.
