Supply Chain Analyst at Kent

Job Description

Summary:

• The person who fills this role will be expected to provide end-to-end analytical solutions. They will be responsible for collecting analytical requirements, sourcing multiple data sets from data warehouses, completing complex analysis and presenting findings to a range of different audiences. This role requires a quick learner with strong analytical skills who is comfortable working independently to complete the projects in queue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other relevant duties may be assigned) include the following:

• This role is focused on supporting demand-side analysis, related to ordering patterns, demand trends, customer behavior and tracking, and S&OP data collection. In addition, a broad range of analysis may be expected including the following: inventory level and inventory distribution, receipt data, mill requirements and aerospace production rates.
• Data mining and report development to answer and resolve specific sales/customer inquiries.
• Trend analysis and research to support specific projects, as identified by executive management and Sales management
• Presenting analytical findings to sales directors, managers and, occasionally, directly to the customer.
• Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts.
• Present analytical findings to other departments and management.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
• Ability to learn complex computer systems
• Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work efficiently while under time pressure
• Willingness to think through ramifications of decisions
• Comfort working extensively with numbers while keeping site of the bigger picture
• Ability to reverse engineer a process
• Ability to develop solutions on the fly
• College degree and/or work experience in relevant field

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Microsoft Excel proficiency (2003)
• Background in mathematics, statistics, or familiarity with forecasting or MRP
