Job Description Summary: Driver Mixer or dump truck to deliver concrete/sand & gravel to construction sites and private residence.

Requirements/Essential Functions

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-MIXER

1. Operate ready-mix concrete truck to deliver ready-mix to construction and customer sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner, obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions. Maintain communication with Dispatcher as necessary regarding deliveries.

2. Observe, check, and assist in loading or unloading truck. Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required. Ensure proper materials are loaded in safe manner, and obtain proper signatures as required. Deliver ready-mix to job site as instructed. Rinse out drum and chutes, and dump slurry as required by established procedures. Operate speedcall on each delivery and ensure proper entry of on-the-job information on customer delivery invoices.

3. Respond to customer questions related to basic product knowledge and basic concrete construction techniques. Tactfully inform customer of concrete working methods and improper forms as appropriate.

4. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle, investigate abnormalities and perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.

5. Maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations.

6. Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.

7. Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition.

8. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES-DUMP

1. Operate truck to deliver aggregate to construction and customer sites, as specified, in a safe and efficient manner obeying applicable laws and following dispatch instructions.

2. Pull levers to tilt body and dump contents. Move hand and foot controls to jerk truck forward and backward to loosen and dump material adhering to body.

3. Check delivery tickets for special instructions and complete as required. Ensure proper materials are loaded in safe manner and obtain proper signatures as required. Deliver aggregate to job site as instructed.

4. Monitor various gauges during operation of vehicle. Investigate abnormalities. Perform operator maintenance and minor field repairs.

5. Maintain operator logs, forms, and records in accordance with company policy and Department of Transportation regulations. Ensure proper entry of on-the-job information on customer delivery invoices.

6. Maintain other necessary records. Move material as necessary in the performance of the job or as directed. Complete written report of problems or necessary repairs and forward to maintenance personnel. Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to proper supervisor.

7. Maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.

Education Level or Equivalent Required: High school degree or equivalent.

Experience Required: One year drivingexperience.

Knowledge Required: Must have current CDL Class A License and current DOT physical card.

Product knowledge beneficial.

Must have the physical endurance and ability to work safely in inclement weather and on uneven terrain;ability to use and learn to use tools and equipment to complete assigned work in a safe and productive manner.
