General Description:
The Human Resources Manager guides and manages HR services and programs that protect the company and build performance capabilities of store teams.
Essential Functions:
- Ensures a high impact recruiting program is in place to attract and select a talented, diverse workforce.
- Provides guidance on union contracts. Represents the Markets in grievance meetings and arbitration hearings.
- Ensures compliance with laws, regulations and company policies pertaining to union contracts, safety, human rights, FMLA, ADA, and other regulated matters.
- Advises store leadership on employment matters. Assists Managers and Team Members in counseling and/or problem resolution.
- Sets, communicates and keeps HR Department Team Members accountable for high standards of performance.
- Other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in the Human Resources field.
- A BA Degree in Human Resources (or related study area) and a PHR designation are preferred.
- Experience in all facets of human resources management including: recruitment, performance management, organizational development, compensation, coaching, training, employee and labor relations, and safety program development.
- Must have experience managing Human Resources in a unionized environment.
- Well developed writing skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
