Clinical Supervisor at Lakewood

Job Description

At CRC Health Group, we are passionate about helping our patients through Outpatient Addiction Treatment.  We are in need of a FT Clinical Supervisor to join our team at Tacoma Treatment Solutions.


 Our Clinical Supervisor works under the supervision of the Clinic Director and is ultimately responsible for providing supervision to a team of Counselors to assure timely completion of work and adherence to program policies and procedures. 

Additional responsibilities include:  

  • Providing weekly clinical supervision through documentation of assessment of professional competencies, clinical skills, and recommendations through weekly meetings and direct and periodic observation;
  • Maintaining a reduced caseload;
  • Providing new hire orientation for Counselors;
  • Complying with State/Federal and/or Certification/Licensure training requirements.
  • Providing clinical supervision to all substance abuse counselors and counselors in training, according to applicable state guidelines;
  • Training of clinical staff to ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures;
  • Monitoring counselors’ documentation in patient charts to ensure compliance with state and Federal regulations, as well as company policies and procedures;
  • Coordinating with the Clinic Director to ensure all clinical services are provided at consistently high levels of quality;
  • Responding to patient questions and complaints;
  • Screening patients for possible admission;
  • Marketing the clinic’s services to potential referral sources and networking with other behavioral health providers in the community;
  • Serving as the Acting Clinic Director in the absence of the Clinic Director.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in a human services field required, Master’s degree preferred;
  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing others in a clinical setting required;
  • Must have a current, active WA state Chemical Dependency Professional Certification (CDP);
  • Experience and training sufficient to meet state requirements to serve as a Clinical Supervisor;
  • Experience with Medicaid preferred;
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills;
  • Experience treating opiate addiction preferred;
  • Experience with medication assisted treatment preferred;
  • Competence using MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is a must. 

 

This is a working supervisor’s position requiring the individual to serve as a working role model for other counselors. The qualified candidate must also have strong leadership skills, multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
