Associate Hydrographer at Seattle

Tetra Tech, Inc. is searching for a part-time Associate Hydrographer on an as needed basis for locations throughout the United States. Work will be performed near and offshore and will include sediment sampling and coring, and other field and office work (logging sediment, sampling sediment and water).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Marine Mapping and Geophysical Surveying support.
• Assist with field work mobilizing/demobilizing for and collecting bathymetric (single and multibeam) and sidescan sonar, subbottom profiling and magnetometer geophysical data, as well as processing, interpreting and report preparation.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess a Bachelors degree in a related field.
• 2+ to 7 years relevant work experience.
• Experience with multibeam sonar, sidescan sonar, magnetometers, Hypack, QINsy and/or CARIS required.
• Must have a valid drivers license and credit card.
