Educational Web Content Curator @ Washington State University Tri-Cities; 10-15 hours/week until 6/6/14; $15-$20/hour DOQ.Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Content Curator supports the STEM web site funded by a Federal grant. This position will:-Identify, qualify/verify, edit, notate to education standards, organize, cite, and post STEM-relevant content to inform, inspire, support and educate the web sites audiences of middle- and high-school students and teachers. -Monitor, review against established parameters, and post submitted content proposed from other sources.-Assist with managing the regional STEM event calendar.-Assist with managing the regional STEM volunteer match database interface.-Monitor and report web site analytics.-Keep abreast of information search technologies and trends, changes in state and national STEM education standards, and user demand. Make recommendations to Project Manager for potential upgrades or changes. Collaborate with Project Manager and web development contractor to implement changes.-Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Required:-A bachelors degree in education, English, sciences or a related field;-A high level of motivation, organization, and the ability to follow-through with assigned tasks with minimal supervision oral communication skills;-Effective oral communications skills;-Experience in finding and evaluating educational content using online sources;-Demonstrated expertise in writing and editing; and-Familiarity with Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science StandardsPreferred: -A Masters degree in education, library science, or related field; -Experience teaching in the K-12 system including delivering STEM content (preferably in Benton and/or Franklin Counties); and-Experience in creating STEM lesson plans or curricula.To apply: Send cover letter and resume to: [Click Here to Email Your Resum] - Applicant screening begins 11/25/13.
