Distribution Operations Manager Wanted - Everett, WA

Select Staffing is currently seeking candidates for a direct hire operations manager position in the Everett, WA area. Summary of Functions:

Responsible for maintaining high standards of all operational receiving and inventory put away activities within the warehouse. Ensures inventory and all warehouse functions are operating at levels that meet or exceed customers and site targets. Has overall responsibility for productivity and safety in accordance with company and site requirements.

Job Type: Manager/Distribution

Shift Times: Prefer candidates that are flexible and could work either 7-4pm or 1-10pm schedule

Salary Range: $80-100k, DOE

Position Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for implementing and maintaining operations processes and procedures, reporting on performance and initiating improvements for receiving and associated inventory processes.
  • Establish and meet site objectives in the areas of productivity, metrics, safety, quality, and customer service in compliance with all applicable internal and external requirements. Provide accurate and timely metrics for all tracked functions.
  • Hire, train, develop, mentor, retain, and appraise staff and supervisors effectively. Take corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy.
  • Coordinate plant activities through planning with departmental managers and supervisors to insure objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner. Provide direction, development and leadership to supervisors.
  • Ensure maintenance and accuracy of data in relevant system as well as any manual tracking methods and sampling audits
  • Ensure proper, efficient and accurate use of the defined QMS processes in compliance with AS9100 standards
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and teamwork
  • Communicates well with peers, supervisors, site leadership, IT staff, and other co-workers and other site departments
  • Adheres to and enforce safe work practices and follows safety practices
  • Adheres to the safety program and maintain areas in a clean and safe work environment at all times
  • Teamwork participation in meeting contract goals and objectives


Physical Requirements:
  • While performing the duties of the position, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms, at times above the head; and talk and hear
  • The employee is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl, and occasionally required to climb; must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • The employee must regularly lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, the employee must be able to move to 500 pounds on wheeled carts


Education and/or Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree and/or five to eight years of progressive experience in supply chain management in a supply chain/distribution environment, including a demonstrated ability to lead teams of staff and supervisors to get results
  • Demonstrated planning, project management, problem solving techniques and analytical skills; able to partner and communicate with all levels of an organization from hourly associates to senior management, as well as with customer contacts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, warehouse management systems, database systems, and time keeping systems
  • Understanding and experience in managing warehousing equipment, their proper usage and safety concerns, and in particular proper forklift usage and dock safety
  • Experience with DOT and IATA requirements for inbound handling, proper packaging, and processing of dangerous goods parts
  • Experience in AS9100C or ISO environment preferred.
  • Aerospace or lean manufacturing experience background is preferred
  • Ability to work in customers facility.
