Yoh has a contract opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer - Oil & Gas to join our client in Bellingham, WA.

Exciting opportunity to get onboard with a major, nationally-recognized oil and gas firm in Bellingham, WA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares detailed design of projects in compliance with governing codes, regulatory requirements and Client standards.
• Estimating and scheduling.
• Solves problems by using a combination of standard procedures, modification of standard procedures, or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Completes independent studies, analyses, interpretations and conclusions.
• Gives technical guidance to junior engineers and / technicians.
• Requires some supervision and review of work for technical accuracy.
• Able to be given an opportunity and can then define the scope of work to accomplish.

Job Qualifications:

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering; PE license preferred, but not required.
• 5 - 15 years of experience in the petrochemical industry with a strong background in Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas Production systems.
• Experience with pipe specifications.
• Experience required in design, specification, application, and modification of rotating and fixed equipment, such as:
  • Compressors.
  • Heat exchangers.
  • Pumps.
  • Pipeline pigging components.
• Excellent working knowledge of the ASME Codes and API standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills - Microsoft Applications (Word / Excel) and engineering software programs, such as COMPRESS, and FEA programs.
• Capable of some travel and remote site assignments.
• Applicant must be able to obtain a TWIC card.
• Equipment drawing review and approval.
• P&ID development and review.
