Position: Mental Health Professional (MHP)

Location: Clark County Jail

FT--Various Shifts The Mental Health Professional (MHP) is responsible for assisting the Mental Health Coordinator in managing the Mental Health services at the Facility so that there is a coordinated and comprehensive service that is integrated with security, medical and administration. The MHP provides crisis intervention and risk assessment for identified inmates, as well as determining the need for immediate, urgent or routine Mental Health assessment.

Job Requirements

Qualified candidates must have a Masters degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field and possess a valid license ( LMHC, LCSW, LMFT or equivilant) to practice Social Work or Counseling in the State where employment is being sought. The Mental Health Professional preferably should have at least three (3) years previous experience, preferably in a corrections environment, and possess and maintain current CPR certification.
