Sr. Manager - Market Research at Bothell

Job Description

Provides current and critical data as required to drive fact based decisions. Validates Insights and their translation into propositions to consumers and professionals. Provides expert input regarding market intelligence tools and outcomes. Will lead global cross-functional teams.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Impacts business direction and growth by bringing strong global consumer, professional and market view proactively into our innovation efforts
  • Works with stakeholders to identify and prioritize business intelligence needs to support their key strategy or business development initiatives
  • Experience leading global cross-functional teams
  • Participates in Insight/VPH (Value Proposition House) validation for key initiatives
  • Lead consumer and professional validation work, supporting the translation of insights into VPH through both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including creative sessions
  • Delivers actionable insights, analysis and recommendations that enhance decision making and effectiveness of the stakeholders
  • Contributes to segmentation research and consults on results/methodology with key stakeholders
  • Participates in the deployment of Brand Equity research, contributing to the interpretation of data and business implications
  • Performs ad hoc consumer and professional research as required, particularly in areas of pricing sensitivity, promotional effectives, consumer behaviors, etc
  • May serve as point of contact for Net Promoter Score research and related issues
  • Applies strict budget control and ensures compliance with established project timelines
  • Establishes strong working relationships with Consumer Marketing, Design, Project Team Representatives, external research suppliers and internal MI resources

 


Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Social Science or in Business Administration (majoring in market research preferred.
  • 10 or more year’s progressive related experience in marketing research in a corporate environment and/or research agency. Experience must include qualitative and quantitative consumer insights development.
  • Strong analytical background with demonstrated ability to collect data, analyze trends and identify key marketing insights that noticeably impact consumer behaviour
  • Strong in project management, with demonstrated work efficiency and effective results.
  • Experience with targeting and segmentation, behaviour analysis and market research
  • Experience with developing marketing analytics frameworks/plans to define marketing strategy
  • Experience working with large volumes of data from disparate data sources and proved track record for spotting actionable patterns and trends.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex situations to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, displaying strategic insight. Initiative and a drive for results
  • Strong consultative skills, being able to interact successfully with stakeholders at executive levels.
  • Experience with professional endorsed products is helpful. Prior experience within the Consumer Package Goods industry is a plus.
