Job Overview:

Our client is currently seeking a qualified candidate to work as a TPA Director in a health plan setting. This is a permanent, full-time, direct hire position.

Job Responsibilities: - Daily management and oversight of self-funded TPA business.- Development of a self-funded TPA Business Plan including sales and marketing strategies and goals as well as operational, technical and vendor plans.- Collaboration with Senior Management Team and Operations Managers to maintain appropriate staffing levels according to enrollment population and performance metrics.- Responsible for developing staff through performance management, training, goal setting and effective employee communication. - Supervisory responsibilities include: facilitating and documenting annual performance reviews.- Ensures that policy and procedures for the self-funded TPA business are 100% documented and are compliant with all applicable regulations.- Responsible for providing Senior Management Team with internal management reports.- Complete profit and loss (P & L) responsibility for the self-funded TPA business segment.- Prepare yearly budgets to include current and projected revenues, dedicated staff, shared staff and allocated operating expenses.- Responsible for developing and reporting all benchmarks and quality standards for all processes within the self-funded TPA business segment, including oversight reports.- Responsible for all vendor relationships including oversight of vendor performance, management of contracting including costs.

Job Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in a business or health care related field required. Advanced degree preferred. - Minimum of five to seven (5-7) years of management experience in a Third Party Administrator role, serving large group clientele. - Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of healthcare and business applications most commonly used in the healthcare industry.- Strong knowledge of health insurance industry procedures and processes and applicable laws and regulations.- Demonstrated supervisory, leadership, project management, and budgetary skills and experience.- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to concisely explain complex issues in an understandable and persuasive manner.
