Oracle Applications Specialist/DBA at Spokane

Job Description

VOLTs client in Spokane, WA is looking for an experienced Oracle Applications Specialist/DBA with solid experience in Oracles E-Business Suite, Oracles Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), PL/SQL and database development, to help us drive design, development, and maintenance of our internal systems. The ideal candidate must have thorough knowledge of Oracle apps technologies, such as Oracle Workflow, XML Publisher, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms Reports, SOA, and Oracle Discoverer.
Core activities will include development of technical specifications, configuration of standard applications, development of new forms and reports, development of interfaces in and out of e-Business suite. Daily activities will also include end user support.This is a direct hire position in Spokane, WA and offered through Volt Technical Resources located in Spokane, WA. Job Requirements

• Work closely with departmental super users to fully understand business requirements.
• Estimate required work efforts to complete assigned projects/enhancements.
• Identify and address potential technical risks and impacts of assigned projects/enhancements.
• Prepare and communicate technical execution plans.
• Effectively work with other teams, (e.g. DBAs, System Administrators, System Architects, etc.).

Must Haves:

• Strong technical and functional knowledge of the Oracle e-Business suite of which at least 3 years experience in financial modules (AR, AP, GL, and PO).
• Release 12 Development experience.
• Proficient in application tools such as SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, XML Publisher, Discoverer, and Bpel.
• Working experience in Oracle B2B.
• Working experience in mapping EDI ( X12 and EDIFACT ) documents to XML or flat file documents.
• Working experience in XSLT mapping.
• Working experience in setting up trading partners communication using various B2B transport protocols like FTP, SFTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTP, HTTPS etc.
• Working Experience in latest SOA technologies ( BPEL, ESB etc ) using Oracle SOA suite.
• Knowledge in UNIX shell script.
• 8+ years of experience utilizing Oracle development technologies such as PLSQL, SQL Plus, Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, OA Framework along e-Business Suite AOL familiarity.
• Problem solving skills and demonstrate strong working knowledge of using Oracle Support.
• Demonstrate solid understanding of Oracle Applications development tools and methodologies, with the ability to understand, analyze, and solve problems.
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Work Flow.
