Job Description

DeVry University is actively seeking individuals with a background in customer service, retail or recruitment interested in starting a new career in Admissions in the educational field. Our Admissions Advisors are responsible for working with prospective students; from educating/marketing prospective students on our programs to qualifying them for enrollment.

Our Admissions Advisors work in an inbound/outbound call center environment. Our call center is open Monday thru Friday from 9:00am to 8:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Candidates must be open to working a variety of schedules. Specific hours will be discussed further during interview phases.

• Complete certification process and associated training to develop broad Admissions knowledge
• Network and develop professional relationships to generate personally-developed inquiries
• Provide excellent customer service to students through application and enrollment process
• Screen potential student applicants by phone and sets campus interviews
• Assess prospective students to ensure they have the potential, traits, characteristics and financial wherewithal to be enrolled through graduation
• Conduct personal interviews to qualify candidates and to explain academic programs
• Advise students in program selection, test counseling, registration, etc.
• Provide general customer service to students from enrollment through graduation
• Adhere to laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities as well as DeVry Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
• Complete other project sand duties as assigned

Required:

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required
• Candidates must show a passion and enthusiasm for education
• Ability to work within a team and be a team player
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter

Preferred - Not Required:

• Bachelors degree is preferred but not required
• Background working in a customer service, retail or recruitment environment is helpful
• Previous admissions experience is helpful but not required
