Account Executive - Washington at Seattle

Job Description

Under general direction of the Regional Director of Sales, we are seeking an Account Executive to market and sell PharMericas products and services to area prospects to meet or exceed, individual, regional and national revenue plan, EBIT goals and bed targets for ourWashington, Oregon, Idahomarket. The Account Executive will also be responsible for meeting or exceeding customer retention targets in theWashington, Oregon, Idahomarket by selling PharMericas value added solutions and services to the existing customer base. We are seeking candidates that reside within the territory. Previous Long Term care experience (Nursing or pharmacy sales) is strongly preferred. This person should be organized and have strong communication skills. There will be some overnight travel.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with Regional Director of Sales (RDS), Vice President of Operations and Pharmacy Directors in evaluating and qualifying new business opportunities as to profitability and strategic impact on the pharmacy and the region in order to achieve annual revenue goals.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales and Pharmacy Directors in identifying business opportunities through sales calls, referrals, marketing reports and SalesForce.com and in communicating (verbally and in writing) with nursing, assisted living, subacute and managed care organizations to assess market needs.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales to utilize marketing segmentation information in developing strategic territory plans, executing those plans to budget effectively, and targeting high potential prospective customers.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales and local Pharmacy Director in finalizing contracting, coordinating startup of new accounts and transitioning account services to pharmacy operations, upon obtaining service commitment from client.
  • Successfully completes all components of sales training and implements sales process and procedures, such as pre-call planning, etc., into everyday practice.
  • Works with Regional Director of Sales and local Pharmacy Director to maintain and strengthen customer relationships by providing ongoing support and value to customers through PharMerica products and services.
  • Communicates with other pharmacy team members (Account Manager representative, consultant pharmacist, and pharmacy staff) to uncover leads, and resolve customer service concerns.
  • Completes sales, retention, reporting, contracting, and other administrative procedures as determined by the RDS in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participates in local, state and national industry trade shows as required to grow area of responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3+ years of prior sales experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical equipment sales, consumer products and services/solutions sales experience is required. Preferably in the Long Term Care market.
  • MS Office Suite - MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS outlook and Palm computing
  • Results orientation, adaptability, sales process methods, product/service knowledge, oral communication, planning/organizing and ability to travel, 60%.
  • Valid drivers license required
