Job Classification: Contract TEKsystems is currently seeking a Telecom Engineer for a 6 month contract LOCATED IN Spokane, WA.This candidate must sit on-site in Spokane. This opportunity will give the potential candidate the valuable opportunity to gain or further their experience within the healthcare industry. -Performs simple to complex tasks relating to telecom (circuit) operations, installation, and/or maintenance for local, off-site and/or remote locations. -Performs quality assurance and testing of transmission mediums and infrastructure components. -Assures all network services delivered to a facility are identified and labeled.-Performs simple to complex tasks related to Telephony operations, installation, and/or maintenance for all physical layer services, including, but not limited to regional PBXs, Voice Mail Systems, ACD Servers, Call Accounting Systems, Intelligent Console Systems, Wireless voice systems such as SpectraLink, Vocera; Paging systems and devices; IVRs, NICE Recording Systems, UPSs, etc.-Creates and maintains accurate technical and procedural documentation for physical layer support for voice systems.-Assures that all required maintenance processes are documented and executed on schedule.-Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and implements solutions to assure all hardware and network related voice services problems are resolved. -Schedule and perform all system backups.-Installs voice services related hardware, including but not limited to gateways, EPNs, circuit packs, cards, cables, modems, servers, etc.-Inventory and hardware capacity management.-Proactively identifies opportunities for improvement in hardware infrastructure, cabling, tools, process, and/or inventories, and develops and presents recommendations for resolving. -Ability to configure CSU/DSU and ability to deploy.Experience with Avaya call manager and applications which interface with Avaya platforms: Contact Center, CMS, Modular Messaging, Call Recording, Wireless endpoints (Vocera and Spectralink) and VoIP.
