The Global Inventory Platform team is looking for a passionate, results-oriented, inventive software manager to manage teams of developers working on massively scalable optimization systems, working with all areas of Amazon.coms supply chain business. The candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong understanding of core software development and algorithmic concepts. The candidate is passionate about technology and wants to solve real business problems.

Responsibilities include direct management of software engineers and development managers, process and quality of service improvements, strategic planning, project management for software within the team, and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery.

A strong candidate will develop innovative software for ideal placement of inventory across Amazons global fulfillment centers. They should understand various optimization techniques and build innovative software solutions working with the supply chain business partners in delivering a viable solution.

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field

• Masters degree desired
• MBA degree desired
• 3+ years of relevant product management experience
• Experience with software development processes and product development
