Route Service/Sales Representative, SimplexGrinnell (Spokane, WA) at Spokane

SUPPRESSION TECHNICIAN

Duties include but are not limited to: exhibiting effective customer service skills; service of Portable Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting and Pre-engineered System Service in Spokane, WA territory.

• Perform routine inspections and testing activities on various fire extinguishers, fire hose and emergency lights to NFPA standards


• Ensure proper clean-up and disposal of material after completion of thejob


• Evaluate and generate a report of inspection including any deficiencies that may require rectification


• Responsible for meeting customers expectations while performing quality inspections


• Effectively and professionally interact with customers

• Previous experience in the Fire Protection industry preferred


• Completion of High School diploma or equivalency


• Valid Drivers license with a good driving record


• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check


• Knowledge of NFPA standards an asset


• Mechanical aptitude


• Effective communication skills with both internal and external customers


• May be required to lift and/or carry equipment and tools, which may weigh over forty (40) pounds. Working environment may involve climbing ladders and scaffoldings with equipment, upward to forty (40) feet.
