Data Center Administrator, Senior at Seattle

Job Description

Provide Seattle Childrens the highest practical levels of availability for power, cooling, water detection, and fire detection systems in the Data Center. Track and provide input to design, planning and implementation of changes in the data center; oversee the daily work assignments of Operations Analysts and Computer Operators; coordinate installation or removal of HW and recurring maintenance activities. Identify and implement new processes and documentation in line with departmental CPI efforts; collaborate with server, storage, security, application and network administrators to understand requirements and implement changes to support organizational requirements in the data center

Job Requirements

Required Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Math, or equivalent technical training
- Minimum of seven (7) years experience to include:
- Working in a data center gaining broad understanding of power, cooling and fire detection/ suppression systems
- Working with server hardware, operating systems, SAN, storage arrays and networks
- Significant experience with code management systems, including experience performing builds and code promotions on the IBM mainframe
- Significant experience with backup, recovery, off-site storage and disaster recovery planning.
