Job Description
PURPOSEOversees and supervises manufacturing and product movement activities in order to ensure smooth flow of work and achievement of productivity goals; also oversees a small administrative staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Oversees the planning and execution of production and materials handling at a location; ensures that adjacent processes are smoothly and continuously running, materials waste is minimized and delivery schedules are consistently met.
2. Responds to customer inquiries and delegates sales/customer service questions to appropriate location or regional staff.
3. Ensures that process and quality controls are consistently observed and that outgoing products meet or exceed specific component standards; encourages staff recommendations to optimize processes whenever possible.
4. Participates as part of the Schedule Review Team.
5. Manages a department to ensure achievement of functional and budget/financial goals.
6. Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
7. Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices and ensures that employees observe all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injuries or damage; schedules periodic safety meetings and solicits recommended changes to improve safety procedures.
8. Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS
Bachelors degree in Business or related field and six (6) years production and/or supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
