This position is located in the Planning Branch, Undersea and Combat Systems Depot Division, Maintenance, Engineering, and Industrial Operations Department within Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Keyport. You will serve as the representative for logistics management of the MK 48 Mod4, Mod 5, and Mod 6 Torpedoes Program.

Your duties as a Logistic Management Specialist will include, but is not limited to the following:
· Manage logistic requirements for MK 48 material and equipment;
· Oversee the Depot Logistics support team to coordinate technical forecasting of material availability, restoring assets to RFI condition, induction of repairables, and disposal of non-repairables.
· Prepare financial estimates and administer fund expenditures, repair contracts, and other activities repair progress;
· Provide input to and/or reviews planning documents such as technical data plans;
· Develop technical data packages;
· Serves as point of contact for procurement and obsolescence issues, utilizing the Integrated Logistics Support Management Information System (ILSMIS).

Examples of qualifying experience include:
· providing integrated logistics support to the lifecycle or procurement of software, hardware, equipment, materials, and/or obsolete items for warfare systems, subsystems, and/or equipment;
· preparing and reporting data used to identify resource requirements;
· Monitoring operations to improve logistics support time;
· Creating measurement/metric tools;
· Monitoring logistics funds distributions or expenditures for projects or programs.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional training, experience and possibly education. REQUIREMENTS:
Generally, current Federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. All qualifications and time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
