Our client is seeking an innovative, intellectually curious, results-oriented software engineer their Labor Planning and Scheduling Team. The Fulfillment Technologies organization owns all of the software and infrastructure that powers our clients world-class fulfillment centers, including the fundamental data and services that drive our catalog and inventory systems. These systems underlie everything they do tens of millions of items in the catalog, hundreds of millions of items of inventory, and billions of transactions each year! LP&S is aimed at continually improving the way in which their fulfillment centers are staffed. To meet that challenge, they have developed complex systems to analyze data and predict specific workforce needs annually, weekly, daily, and even hourly.

Basic Qualifications
Demonstrate competency in computer science basics including data structures, sorting/searching algorithms, order analysis
Bachelors or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (e.g., CS, ECE, Math)
Experience creating server side and browser delivered user interface solutions or both.
A willingness to learn deep domain knowledge in the area of labor planning and scheduling systems.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Ruby On Rails.
Familiarity with SQL. Experience with data analysis/mining using large relational databases (tables >%3D 10^9 rows) a plus.
Experience with designing, building and deploying scalable; highly available systems a plus.
Experience with modern tools and environments (e.g., XML, web services, version control systems, bug/issue tracking tools)
Experience with Scrum, XP or other agile methodologies.
A background with mathematical modeling or optimization a plus.
