You will serve as a Co-Recall Administrative Clerk responsible for the management, administrative support, and implementation of the Product Safety and Recall Program for V A Puget Sound HCS. These responsibilities include the following: Collecting and tracking all recalls and notices received on hazardous products, including: 1) Identifying affected service lines and Medical Products, Nutritional Supplements, Pharmaceuticals, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Patient Safety Advisory, assisted by purchasing records, inventory databases, and key staff members familiar with the specific products: 2) Disseminating information on product hazards to Service Line Recall Coordinators, Quality Improvement, potential product users, or other staff as appropriate; 3) Tracking and following-up on service line responses to product hazard notices; 4) Assisting service lines in implementing and documenting any needed corrective actions; and 5) Reporting findings and compiling reports to management. You will also providePC, LAN and DHCP user support, which involves reporting and resolving problemswith both hardware and software, and advising users of down time. Act asa training specialist for the service line to coordinate training for newemployees and track training records for each section. May perform other dutiesas assigned.

Time-in-grade: Applicants who are current Federalemployees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meettime-in-grade requirements. For this vacancy, applicants must have held gradeGS-5 or higher for at least a year to be eligible for the GS-6 grade level.
To qualify at the GS-6 level, applicantsmust have one year of Specialized Experience that is equivalent to at least aGS-5 grade level equipped with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities ofthe duties typically in or related to the position to include but not limitedto: creating reports in Excel, Access, and VistA. Experience maintaining a database of equipment.

- Ability to organize and manage a complex and detailed information to a group
- Knowledge of Product Safety and Recall Program
- Ability to compile, sort, and maintain a database in an excel application environment.
