Job Description

Our utilization review teams conduct medical necessity reviews of inpatient admissions, outpatient surgical procedures, advanced imaging studies, and other healthcare services. You would support them by:

Responding to inquiries from healthcare providers and other callers.

Loading cases submitted via the web, fax, or phone into the care management system for clinical review.

Calling providers to confirm receipt of their requests.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Intermediate-level proficiency with MS Office Suite.
• Proficiency with medical terminology.
• Proficiency with diagnosis and/or procedure coding (ICD-9, CPT) preferred.

Experience Required

• At least 2 years of customer service work experience.
• At least 1 year of work experience in healthcare.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
