Job Description

The Senior Engineer for Mobile and Product Security plays a key role in providing a secure mobile experience for T-Mobile Customers and protecting critical assets from threats in the mobile ecosystem by applying expertise in mobile application and operating system security, mobile product security, and mobile threat detection and analysis.This role will plan, coordinate, design, and implement security measures for information systems to regulate access to mobile applications, devices, services, and networks and prevent unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure of information.Perform security, compliance, and risk assessments on projects throughout project lifecycle using sdlc, waterfall or rup methodologiesLead information security review of new technologies, designs, and remediation planning effortsMaintain visibility inside & outside of Corporate Information Security, interfacing with groups such as Product Development, Product Management, Enterprise IT, Engineering, Legal, Privacy, and Risk Management.Investigates and/or leads identifying security needs & recommends plans/resolutions. Implements, tests & monitors information security improvementsSupport information security policy throughout lifecycle including intake, creation, review, approval, implementation, publishing, communication & maintenanceLead security projects driven by groups both internal and external to information securityMentor peers and junior team members in security technologies, enterprise solution design, SDLC facilitation and effective customer interaction.Be subject matter expert in multiple security subject areas

Job Requirements

MinimumGood verbal and communication skills with diverse cross functional groups & the ability to present effectively to small & large groupsAbility to plan, organize and prioritize tasks to complete independently, as well as delegate and track progress within the team, all within the time frame establishedKnowledge of information security policies and regulatory controls (per team function)Minimum 6 years of experience in info security technology or related fieldCISA/CISM, CISSPBachelors preferredDesired SkillsKnowledge of Anroid and/or iOS security framework and application developmentKnowledge of current technological trends and developments in the area of info securityExperience in product development and managmeent lifecycle, particularly for mobile products and servicesIn-depth knowledge of security best practices in large-scale environmentsExperience with high level design architecture, security technologies, Networking, web services and SOAUnderstanding of encryption, obfuscation, tokenization technologiesMobile Network Operator or telecommunications industry work experience
