Job Description

A Dairy Service Technician is responsible for meeting the dairy customers needs in the proper troubleshooting, servicing and repairing of dairy equipment.RESPONSIBILITIES:-Diagnose, service and/or repair dairy equipment effectively and efficiently-Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction-Advise customers on the proper use, operation and maintenance of dairy equipment-Required product knowledge and training to ensure: Customer satisfaction and ability to promote the sales of products and services, ability to service DeLaval brands of dairy equipment-Drive a sales/service vehicle, and maintain the vehicle and parts/tools to complete job-Inventory management and preparation of invoices for services performed or products soldEXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:-Minimum high school degree and basic mathematical aptitude required-Strong organizational skills, including good written and oral communication skills-Previous service experience in dairy-related industry is preferred; sales experience preferred-Ability to travel locally is required?Must possess a valid drivers license in accordance with DeLaval policy?Must be willing to earn a CDL if needed?Must be able to work some evenings and weekends-Ability to lift 70 lbs.-Motivated, self-starter who can work independently, yet function and participate as part of a teamCOMPETENCIES:A successful candidate will have the ability to balance technical expertise as well as high levels of customer service.Link: www.delaval-us.com
