Requisition Summary
Manage all aftermarket aspects of PACCARs commercial relationship with suppliers of PACCAR proprietary design products.Negotiate commercial/contractual requirements such as pricing, delivery, customer service, aftermarket support, logistics and total cost (including lower-level service parts pricing and post-production costs). Commodity Managers are change agents, focused on delivering the highest value to internal and external customers at the lowest total cost.
Job Functions / Responsibilities
Develop, negotiate, and implement strategies resulting in improved supply chain performance, lowest total cost and broader aftermarket product offerings.
Investigate and implement strategic procurement strategies and logistical opportunities including low cost country sourcing
Coordinate with PACCAR Purchasing and Aftermarket Product Marketing teams worldwide to successfully develop and execute supply chain and commodity strategies
Communicate and conduct meetings and formal presentations with suppliers, Purchasing and Aftermarket at all management levels
Travel to supplier locations worldwide in order to evaluate capabilities, assess production readiness, investigate new opportunities, and resolve chronic supply and quality issues
Travel to PACCARs global operating locations in support of the above activities.
Negotiate long-term supply agreements in conjunction with Production Purchasing.
Qualifications & Skills
Minimum 3 years of purchasing, related, and /or PACCAR experience
Experience with Aftermarket Parts
Experience in LCC sourcing a plus
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Creative, quality and results-driven work ethic
Proven negotiation experience
PC skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Project team participation and/or Project Management
BA degree in Business Administration or related field
