Redfin is looking for a senior data analyst to delve into its data and identify trends that are interesting and newsworthy for the real estate industry, economists and consumers. In addition to being a talented analyst, we need a great writer who can simplify and effectively communicate complex ideas in writing.
 
What you’ll do:
 
As a part of the public relations team, the Senior Real Estate Data Analyst will:

• Mine real estate data using SQL and Microsoft Excel and collaborate with Redfin’s current research team and media relations experts to develop data and research-based newsworthy ideas.
• Write thought-provoking, compelling reports about the real estate industry, homebuyer and seller sentiment, Redfin business data and user behavior.
• Keep abreast of macro-economic trends, housing market trends, and Redfin user and client trends.

Job Requirements

What you’ll need to succeed:

• A passion for real estate.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and least two years of experience using SQL. 
• Experience using a data analysis package such as Tableau, R, SPSS, etc.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a similar field. 
• One to two years professional experience in a related field.
• Understanding of econometrics and economics theory.
• Strong writing skills and the ability to create great content quickly.
• Ability to communicate complex information in a simplified way.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and be a part of a diverse team.
• Keen attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
