For more information about Nintendo, please visit the companys website at http://www.nintendo.com.Description of DutiesAs Nintendo expands its online services (eShop, communities, online gameplay, etc.) it is increasingly important that we understand the value we are delivering to our customers. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a team of analysts to identify the key metrics, develop and execute a plan to get the data, design and build the queries in some big data technology (Redshift, Hadoop, or something else), then deliver the data plus analysis if required. This is a small team so the ideal candidate will need to be able to manage data from acquisition, processing, insertion into the data warehouse, data modeling, and delivery.
  • Work with key stake holders to understand analytics requirements
  • Identify and create efficient database models that describe user actions and behavior
  • Lead NBD data warehousing projects and work related to database applications design in Redshift and Hadoop
  • Maintain database permissions, roles, tables and queries
  • Identify slow running queries and design a solution to enhance performance
  • Design, develop, maintain and enhance Extraction, Transformation and Load jobs to support data integration needs
  • Maintain BI tool(s) and assist in the deployment of related applications
  • Recommend actions or improvements based on data
  • Develop and implement QA and tests related to area of responsibility
  • Manage the creation, automation, and delivery of reports and data to key stake holders
  • Run adhoc queries


Job Requirements

Summary of Requirements
  • Experience with data warehousing techniques and best practices
  • Experience with databases is required, columnar databases, Hadoop, Netezza or Exadata is helpful
  • Expert in one or more scripting languages (Python, Ruby, PHP, Perl)
  • Expert in SQL and writing complex queries
  • Advanced understanding of relational databases, OLAP, and query optimization
  • Advanced understanding of database modeling
  • Expert in one or more development languages (VB/VBA, C#, Java, etc.)
  • Intermediate level experience with statistical modeling and predictive analytics
  • Five years experience demonstrated through increased responsibilities
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, a related field, or equivalent.
