As a key member of our agile team, you will participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle: scoping, design, coding, testing, implementation and support. You will lead development of highly available, scalable, secure and flexible solutions for a variety of applications including our ecommerce, mobile and workflow systems. In this role, you must be able to lead others, multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult and complex problems. You will set the example for other team members when it comes to best practices and you will be called upon to establish standards and guidelines as well as mentor the team on their use. You take pride and ownership in your work as well as the overall contributions of the team. You must also have the ability to take a system-wide understanding, recognize use of system components and disparate technologies and be able to diagnose and debug components across an entire system. Your ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, is also key as is being a self-starter.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Collaborates with TMP’s, PM’s and business on requirements definition and functional specifications and design
- Leads development of technical design and specifications as required
- Collaborates on major architectural and technical design issues
- Ensures coding, testing and documentation tasks are successfully performed for new application development as well as enhancements to existing system functionality
- Ensures QA is enforced and supported
- Ensures adequate production support coverage is provided during and after normal working hours, including possible rotation for on call support pager
- Ensures appropriate documentation is produced for client integrations including that of web services
- Takes on leadership roles as needed
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- BA or BS Degree required, preferably in computer science or related field
- 7 - 10 years software development experience required, preferably at least 3 years in lead or senior role
- Expert C# and OO programming skills
- Expert software development lifecycle skills
- Strong experience developing design specifications
- Strong experience documenting development work
- Strong experience working with SQL Server required, SQL 2008 preferred
- Solid understanding of Agile (SCRUM) Development Process
- Experience developing web services required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with MS IIS
- Experience working with ASP.Net web applications
- Experience working with DNN Framework
- Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation
