Accounting Manager at Bellevue

Job Description

Job Classification: Contract A large technology company in Bellevue, WA is actively seeking a Corporate Accounting Manager. The Corporate Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for managing team closing activities, providing in-depth analysis of monthly financial results and oversight of the corporate internal control environment within our shared services organization. Summary of Key Responsibilities:- Manage month end closing activities for shared services departments including information technology and procurement- Ensure accurate accounting for transactions in accordance with GAAP- Work closely with individual budget owners across varying functions and finance, planning and analysis team in providing monthly budget to actual reporting.- Assist accounting and finance teams in resolution of accounting issues- Provide liaison to internal audit department through coordination of audit procedures, delivery of requests and remediation of findings- Maintain internal control documentation over corporate accounting processes and ensure effectiveness of operational and financial control design, in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)- Implement process improvement through leveraging ERP system and other applications- Perform technical accounting research and conclusion as needed- Prepare information to support quarterly reviews and annual audits- Assist in the training and development of team Qualifications & Experience:- BA Accounting or related field required - CPA preferred- 8+ years of accounting experience with at least 2+ years of industry accounting experience preferred- 4+ years of supervisory experience including a demonstrated ability to delegate, provide guidance and develop a team- High integrity, strong technical accounting skills, and keen analytical skills- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and SOX- Experience with ERP systems required; SAP preferred- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, especially Excel and SharePoint- Well organized with ability to perform multiple tasks and work with other functional areas of the organizationIf you feel you are qualified for the position, please call Katie Green at 425-893-6082 or send an updated resume to the email address below.
