Senior Business Analyst at Seattle

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for their Seattle, Washington (WA) location.

The Senior Business Analysts is responsible for documentation and validation of proposed process improvements to support customer requests for project artifacts. Focus areas include but are not limited to Project Planning, Project Management, Resource Planning and Utilization, Change Management, Project Reporting, and Technical artifacts. The Analyst has a deep understanding of Project and Software Development methodologies including Agile, RUP and Waterfall. The Analysts will document the additional time required to support the needs and draft a business case for additional resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop an understanding of the companys current Project Management and Software Development Processes and the tools utilized


• Understand the artifacts being requested by the customer


• Map Company Project Management and Software processes and artifacts to the processes and artifacts being requested by customers


• Review proposed new processes and resource requirements with Management


• Development of business cases, including required investment, to support the new processes


• Support development of business case to review with the OEM customer

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelors degree required, Six Sigma certificate preferred


• 1-2 years experience in business analysis, process modeling or continuous improvement projects


• Deep understanding of project management concepts, methodologies, and best practices and the implementation of process efforts across a team or program


• Experience managing complex and diverse projects


• Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) with strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all levels of leadership


• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills


• Strong facilitation skills and ability to lead teams through elaboration sessions


• Must be results-oriented


• Self starter - ability to work with limited direction


• MS Visio or equivalent for flowcharting is required


• MS Excel or equivalent is required
