Manufacturing Supervisor- Day Shift at Spokane

The Opportunity:

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative and meticulous individual for our Manufacturing Supervisor Days located in Pullman, WA or in the Lewiston, ID facility. If you have proven experience in leading large teams, process improvement groups and possess excellent communication skills, then we invite you to join our SEL team!

Manufacturing Supervisor-Day Shift in Various Locations

Responsibilities:

• Implement SEL values and objectives in order to achieve corporate goals.
• Supervise production schedules, production quality and on-time delivery.
• Assign assembler/operator duties, establish training needs and oversee training.
• Define assembler/operator performance standards, review outcome of performance goals and set future targets for assemblers.
• Identify staffing and capital needs, collect data and write the justification for those needs.
• Create, update and ensure control of department work instructions and reports.
• Coordinate and develop new product design with engineering staff and participate in new product launches.
• Improve quality and delivery costs by product family.
• Encourage professional development of assembly/operator staff.
• Identify and address personnel issues.
• Work within established safety and quality standards.
• Follow and improve manufacturing area processes.

 Requirements

Qualifications:

• Two years leadership experience in a technical environment
• High school diploma or G.E.D.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions
• Basic computer skills: Word, Excel, Access
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in team environment
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications:

• College degree (BS or BA)
• Supervisory experience or training
• Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, Access
