40% - Participates in the development and evaluation of test methodologies which includes: designation of appropriate equipment, procedures, tooling requirements, for testing development and production electronic products.
20% - Works with supervisor to assess future equipment and facilities requirements that will continually increase efficiencies and improvements. Develops concepts and designs. Assists process/equipment improvement projects.
15% - Works as an assigned test engineer on specific contracted programs. Generates test procedures and assists test team to accomplish test requirements.
20% - Works closely with area supervisor to ensure equipment readiness of test equipment to include: data acquisition systems, vacuum chambers, test cabling, test fixtures. Assists in setting up maintenance schedules and troubleshoot faulty test systems.
5% - When required, conducts technician test tasks and test management functions including failure analysis and safety reviews.
Requires BS degree in engineering, preferably in Electronics/Electrical. Knowledge and/or experience with using an array of test equipment such as DVMs, o-scopes, current probes, power converters. Must be able to read and generate electrical schematics. Ability to use Orcad, Visio and harness assembly or PADS software preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance at the appropriate level (U.S. Citizenship required).
