70% - Perform electronic component fabrication and assembly to manufacture high-reliability circuit board assemblies, cable assemblies and other hardware. Kitting of sensitive electronic parts.
10% - Part marking, handling and packaging.
10% - Perform on-site and off-site repairs.
5% - Follow established clean room practices.
5% - Ensure adherence to proper contamination control practices in all work habits and techniques. Maintain and support clean work stations.
Secondary duties:-Other duties as assigned.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalence and 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have experience with reading, understanding and following detailed work instructions and procedures, sketches, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and charts. Experience working with sensitive ESD components, component prep and placement also needed. Requires the ability and willingness to work other shifts and overtime as necessary. Must be able to be trained and become certified in J-STD-0001, IPC-A-610D and NASA 8739.1-3 standard within the first 3 months of employment. Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency, or other status as a U.S. Person.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is regularly expected to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
