Rebar Shop Helper at Tacoma

Harris Rebar is seeking a shop helper at our Tacoma, Wa branch.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in cutting and bending of rebar of various sizes and lengths
• Loading rods and sheets of mesh onto flatbed trucks
• Lifting up to 85 lbs or more repetitively
• Maintain a clean area and work safely
• Perform other duties as directed by Supervisor

 Requirements

• Must be able to lift 85 lbs or more
• Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Any construction experience is a plus!

 

Special Demands:

• Working with heavy equipment may be required at times
• Frequent overtime may be required
• Shift work
• Must adhere to all safety procedures and policies
• Working conditions may be hot/cold/smoky/dusty
