Position Summary:

This position is located in one of the Subregional Areas: Aniak, Emmonak, St. Marys, Toksook Bay and Hooper Bay and travels to all villages assigned to the specific subregional area to provide clinical and clinical supervision to the Behavioral Health Aides in those villages. Conduct behavioral health evaluations of individuals who suffer mental disturbances or present with a wide range of emotional disturbances. Initiates the provision of services depending on the outcome of the evaluation. The clinician would also provide care management services, referral, and advocacy, as recommended in the assessment.

Position Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential job element satisfactorily. The components listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing with a specialty in Mental Health. Clinical supervisory experience preferred.
  • Two (3) years clinical experience providing various behavioral health direct services performed at a satisfactory level
  • Experience in a cross-cultural setting, preferably with Native American cultures
  • Appropriate State of Alaska licensure required or must be able to obtain it within 3 months of hire
  • Computer literacy required
