- This job will entail 50%-70% coding so candidates MUST have SOLID experience with coding and a thorough understanding of one or more OOP (Object Oriented Programming) languages. Any OOP language is fine (C#, Java, C++, Perl, etc).

- If candidates do not have strong coding skills they will most likely not be the right fit for these positions.

- These SDETs will spend 20%-30% of their time doing maintenance work.

- 10%-20% of the work will be manual testing, writing test-plans and test-cases, with time also spent in meetings, bug-triage, etc.

Job Description:

- Our client is seeking an experienced Software Developer Engineer in Test, with hands-on coding experience in C#, Java or C++, to build and extend test frameworks for API testing, create test and manage test plans, and code automated test suites.

- This position requires strong coding and testing skills.

- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture as well as an end-to-end understanding of common QA tools and practices.

- We expect the ideal candidate to scope, design, implement, and maintain the test framework for this new product, and to work both independently as well as in collaboration with the development staff.

- Youll have the opportunity to develop components in a new technology architecture that will serve as the building blocks for thousands of eCommerce websites.

Basic Qualifications:

- Must be able to pass a 7 year criminal background check

- Strong development (SDE or SDE/T) background on large projects on collaborative teams

- Development experience; 3+ years software development experience

- Proven coding skills in C++, C# and or Java is a must.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Understanding of XML, XSD, WSDL, and SOAP and a history working with web client software are positive

- Linux experience and a computer science degree are preferred

- Have experience working in QA, developing automated test frameworks (as opposed to writing automated tests for an existing framework, such as LoadRunner/WinRunner).
