Control Systems Program Manager

The Control Systems Program Manager (CSPM) will manage a team of Control and System Engineers, and focus on strategic program development including: Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) data collection and metrics, enterprise dashboard KPI development, System Manager visibility tool development, EAM integration throughout the NA network. This position works closely with Operations Engineering, FC Software, IT Infrastructure and material handling system vendors to: (1) propose and manage new controls programs from concept to deployment; and (2) ensure the control system and Warehouse Control System (WCS) design specifications are satisfied in equipment build-out. This position will also work closely with regional management teams (Facilities, Controls, and Engineering) to roll out new control equipment standards, business intelligence (BI) tools, technical design and training manuals. This position will be responsible for delivering the OEE metrics and KPI dashboard for the NA fulfillment center network, driving an enterprise solution to integrate Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) with site System Manager (SM), Alert Management Service (AMS), and Remedy system.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering fields.
  • 5+ years working experience in control system design, architecture, integration and deployment based on Allen Bradley (AB) PAC technology. Experience must include at least two full life-cycles of PLC based control system and Windows SQL server based WCS development.
  • 5+ years working experience as a Program Manager or equivalent in the industrial automation business intelligence (BI) area, managing projects from concept to deployment. Experience should include 3+ years of ROI analysis, capital planning, system development roadmap, and resource management.
  • 2+ years project management experience in Human Machine Interface (HMI) development using prevailing software packages such as ICONICS or FactoryTalk View (RSView).
  • 3+ years project management experience in software development, including waterfall and agile/scrum methodologies.
  • 2+ years experience managing and developing a group of System, Software, or Control Engineers.
  • Experience developing technical specifications, solution outlines and white papers.
  • Familiar with Windows office suite, Microsoft Project and Visio.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% to various North American fulfillment centers is required.
  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering fields.
  • Strong understanding of Rockwell A&B PLC processors, automation solution, FactoryTalk suite (Metrics, View) and Ole for Process Control (OPC) technology.
  • 2+ years project development and implementation experience in OEE data acquisition, data export to SQL server and report generation.
  • 2+ years software development experience in Windows or Linux platform.
  • 2+ years SQL server application development experience using .net framework and stored procedures.
  • Strong data analysis and enterprise level KPI metrics development experience is highly desired.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, with ability to handle daily activities in a dynamic environment and drive deliverables.
